Biography of William D. Short, Founder, Editor in Chief

In the fall of 1988 a respected Organic Chemist from MIT, Dr. Donald Rugen, Phd. came up to William at a party and said “I can teach you how to make money in good times and in bad times”. This got William’s attention. William can remember today as if it were yesterday what his response was: “if what you are claiming is true, then yes, I would be interested in knowing what you know”.

This was his first introduction to the world of R. N. Elliott; better known as The Elliott Wave Principle and/or Theory. From that point forward it was William’s passion to become skilled at understanding and visualizing the various wave formations R.N. Elliott found and identified as he inductively observed the markets.

Mr. Short has a passion to learn and solve problems. He enjoys this world, the world of Elliott, because it presents him with a new puzzle each and every day. William follows an established set of guidelines and rules. Rules that have proven themselves correct through out the course of time. If someone was to say to Mr. Short, “But it can’t be done!” his visceral response would be that they just have not worked hard enough. It is there, you just need to look harder.

A Graduate with an Accounting degree from Saint Joseph’s University in Pennsylvania, William has worked in the non-profit world as an Executive Director of Finance, and the for-profit world as a Chief Financial Officer for a Private Equity Group. He has traded for both a Private Equity Group and himself. William tells people that he is an Analyst who is becoming a successful Trader. He believes that having started off as an Analyst helped him greatly in becoming a Trader. The analytical mindset to problem solving is a requirement for every Trader. William has found that if the trading side is running into a brick wall, then one should break it down and figure out the problem, because for every problem there are solutions. This mindset has lead helped him to learn some very helpful lessons about Trading, as well as some New Discoveries in the field of technical trading. William believes that we learn more from our mistakes if we are willing to let them teach us. Success only confirms that we are on the right path, not that the end of the journey has been reached.

Mr. Short is also the owner and founder of another website; www.gravityfound.org.  A website that helps to explain what is believed to be the real cause of gravity here on earth. This discovery was made in the later part of 2007 and no one as of yet has been able to refute his claim.
